A truly picturesque location with a luxurious standard in everything from the furnishings to even the little things like a crystal decanter and glasses to enjoy a lovely glass of whiskey in your own lounge, all compliments of the hosts. What a breath of fresh air, in more ways than one!

Tips:

Try to book a few nights stay, to enjoy the restaurants and history of this beautiful corner of Scotland.

We were made to feel very welcome by Rhona and Paul. The lodge is very comfortable and it was a pleasure to stay there. We were looked after really well and would return to stay next time we are in the area.

Tips:

We were only there for one night to specifically attend a wedding, so didn't explore the area. However Alloway looks very nice. It suited our purpose ideally.

Welcoming and couldn't do enough to ensure a perfect stay. The location is minutes out of Ayr , overlooking miles of open countryside. Rooms and facilities excellent. It was lovely to have breakfast prepared by our host as we enjoyed the panoramic view.

Tips:

We always look on TripAdvisor for ideas of where to eat etc. A great location for coast and countryside. We only stayed one night and our hosts offered to book a meal, had we wished. There is a plenty to see in the area. We visited Culzean Castle next day on our way down the coast.

Was delighted with our room, the house is lovely and airy. Good choice of menu for breakfast, I know my husband enjoyed his. Yes I would recommend you.

We were guests at a wedding, reception was held in the Brig o’ Doon Hotel. Hotel seemed busy enough serving meals. Burn’s Cottage not to far away. Plenty to see for any Burn’s fans to see and visit.

This establishment is first class in every way! The only thing that can top the service, location and luxury surroundings are the owners Rhona and Paul, they really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and relaxed with nothing being too much trouble. Let’s not forget the breakfast, quite simply put it was delicious and freshly made to order. We were only sorry we weren’t staying longer but sure we will return and would most definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit the area.

Tips:

Paul recommended The Brig o Doon Hotel for dinner and it definitely did not dissappoint! Beautiful area and the hotel, gardens and restaurant are stunning.

Rhona and Paul are great hosts and their guest facilities are first class. They welcome guests as if they were friends or family. We were attending a wedding in a nearby hotel and Rhona offered to drive us to it rather than ordering us a taxi. We stayed in the Robert Burns Suite which has an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower. It also has a small sitting room with a TV and selection of DVDs plus complimentary whiskey and sherry to enjoy. The breakfast was fabulous too with a great selection of cold and hot food which was cooked to order. We would definitely recommend Ayrs and Graces if you're visiting Alloway or the local area.

Tips:

Only a 2 minute drive from Brig O'Doon Hotel and 5 minutes from Ayr.

Ayrs and Graces is superb. We were welcomed by Rhona and shown to our beautiful room which also had a fabulous view. Our room had lovely personal touches and was very well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We enjoyed tea and home baking before Rhona kindly chauffeured us to a wedding we were attending nearby. The breakfast was second to none, with lovely choices and all prepared freshly for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Lovely friendly hosts , Rhona and Paul , very welcoming. Luxury B&B certainly deserves 5 stars . Beautiful setting , very peaceful, with fabulous views of the country side , which you can take in sat on the balcony with a complementary glass of wine . The whole house is decorated beautifully, very comfortable and so clean , lovely bedroom and bathroom . Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice . Also was a little worried about turning up on a motorbike at such a lovely place , but hey no need to worry , not a problem at all. Infact Rhonas best friend , also Rhona was telling us her husband used to have a Harley . Also Rhona upgraded us to a suite , at no extra charge which was a lovely touch , so thankyou Rhona , very much appreciated. Would recommend this lovely place to everyone.

Tips:

Only stayed one night on the way back home from Fort William, so sadly didn't get chance to see much locally, we did have a ride along the seafront which was nice . Although we didn't eat out , there seemed to be some nice places to eat all advertising very reasonable prices , which was a surprise in such a nice area .

From the moment I arrived rona made me most welcome, arrived a little late but rona met me at burns cottage as I was a little lost, she provided a large glass of red wine and nibbles and I was settled in my room then she showed me the wonderful sitting room where I relaxed for a couple of hours, with magazines and news papers it was heaven.rona and Paul are wonderful hosts and I left feeling like I had been pampered and was part of the family, will be returning again.

Tips:

Rona and Paul now the local area and they have all the info you need in your pack in your room, but rona will help you with anything else that you are looking to visit she is a wealth of information about the local heritage.

A warm welcome from Rhona when we arrived and tea served with home made cake and chocolate. The room was comfortable and all the little extras were so good. The breakfast was cooked to our order by Rhona in the kitchen while we talked about our plans for the day ahead. Prior to visiting I had contacted Paul ( husband) for suggestions as to where was best to eat in the evening, his advice of Brig'o'Doon was fantastic and only just down the road. I would visit again when in the area,no doubt a quality B&B

Ayrs and Graces is an elegent and lovely bed and breakfast in a beautiful, rural setting. Rhona and Paul are gracious, sweet, and interesting hosts. We enjoy it when the hosts interact with us other than the obligatory instructions and "what would you like for breakfast." Paul and Rhona were exceptional at interesting with use, but were not in the least bit intrusive. We were offered refreshments in the comfortable lounge/living room when we arrived. We had a chance to relax and chat with Paul. The accommodations were impeccable with a comfortable bed in a nicely sized room. The bathroom is huge and classy. Paul asked us if we needed suggestions for our dinner the first nightw and recommended a lovely, historic restaurant and made reservations for us. Rhona was kind enough to accomadte our need for an earlier than usual breakfast our first morning - and it was delicious. Our entire stay was a joy!

Tips:

We highly recommend the historic Brig O'Doon House for dinner. It is a very classy place but they are not uptight about dress that is more on the casual side. The prices are very reasonable for the atmosphere and the quality of the food. Ayr is the birthplace of Scottish poet Robert Burns and his house, memorial, and the Old Kirk are very worth visiting.

Came across this gem whilst searching online for overnight accommodation for our last nights holiday in Scotland. It's not difficult to rate every aspect of our stay the highest score. Location is delightful - overlooking countryside and the property is immaculate inside and out. Our room was beautifully presented and we had our own access to garden and car park - with outside table and chairs. Our host was delightful and our welcome second to none. Breakfast was wonderful - we can't wait to plan our next trip.

Tips:

Dinner at nearby Brig O' Doon House Hotel was fabulous - I only wish I lived nearer as I would be here all the time! We spent some time shopping in Ayr before heading to the ferry terminal.

Rona was wonderful and made us feel at home from the moment we entered the house. The location was fabulous and so very peaceful. Every morning we had breakfast overlooking pastoral vistas. Breakfasts were exceptional! Our room/suite was very comfortable. Bathroom was fully equipped with a lovely hi-powered shower, bath, and plush towels. We even had a carafe of whiskey available for those evenings we chose to stay in and watch a little television or read. We felt like family and would definitely return.

Tips:

The B & B is situated very close to Robert Burns' home and the Brig a Doon. There is much to see in the area which is so picturesque. Numerous restaurants surround the area and Rona had many great suggestions.

We had a wonderful stay here Shona is a great host he organised Taxis for us to the venue for the wedding we when attending. The photographs on the website do not do the police Justice or expectations when exceeded their little extras like perfume and some whisky excetra in the room. Breakfast was superb Rona give us some advice on local attractions to visit including Robert Burns Cottage and Brig o Doon. The photographs on the website do not do not do the Justice.I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay in the area.

after a late arrival I was greeted by Rhona with a lovely smile and a delicious cup of tea. the offer of some toast was one I couldnt accept at such a late hour though. after my tot of whiskey and an excellent night sleep I took a refreshing powerful shower and then headed for a wonderful full breakfast. it was all too soon to say my goodbyes but I take great memories from my stay and will be back asap. Many thanks.

Rhona proved to be an excellent host. Tea and homemade shortbread on arrival. A superb Robert Burns Malt whisky and complimentary decanter of sherry awaited us in our room. luxury soaps and shampoos plus underfloor heating in the ensuite.Something we are used to at home but not in a B&B or a hotel. Breakfast was excellent.

12th July 2016:

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We received the warmest welcome from Rhona, she left a card upon our arrival which was a lovely personal touch. The BnB is set in the most beautiful location with spectacular rural views. The room was decorated to the highest standard and immaculately clean. I appreciated the little touches - roses, rubber duck on the bath, complimentary whisky, and local restaurant menus. The only fault I could note was some marks on the ceiling, a result of a recent leak that had occurred. Rhona was very apologetic about this and it in no way affected our stay. The home baking we sampled on arrival was delicious and the breakfast provided in the morning was extensive and delicious. While I'm not a fan of a cooked breakfast - there was plenty of choice to satisfy. My partner however can testify that Rhona's cooked breakfast was one of the best she's ever had. Rhona and Paul could not do enough for us - from running us down to a wedding, to waiting on us hand and foot at breakfast. It's clear they really enjoy their role as hosts and their exuberant personalities shine through.

Tips:

We only stayed one night for a wedding at the Brig o' Doon House Hotel, which is lovely. Although Rhona and Paul were full of suggestions for exploring the surrounding area.

We found your B&B by far the best of all the 6 we stayed in both in Scotland and Ireland. The accommodations were equal or better than what your web site depicted. Most of all, your delivery of service was OUTSTANDING! Your food service was also stunning. Your fresh fruit, and breakfast preparation was a very pleasant surprise. We were so pleased with your accommodation that we booked our last day in Scotland at your B&B.

Tips:

Book early, and if you can stay as long as possible here. If we had it to do over again, I would have booked a three day stay here and made day trips to the near by sites. The Brig A Doon Hotel Restaurant is priced very well and services great fish and pasta dishes.

The attention to detail is impressive and it feels more like a small, personal hotel. It is actually better than a hotel - breakfast is freshly prepared (there is a choice menu) and the food was perfectly cooked. We had our own entry/exit to our room and the location is so peaceful. The facilities in the rooms are outstanding, again, with attention to detail being impressive. High count cotton bedding being one of them and a personal favourite of mine. Strongly recommended.

Tips:

We went to the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory (SDSO) which is about 18 miles away, heading south of Dalmellington at Lock Doon. Our stay was fantastic. A warm welcome and welcome drink when we arrived. We were attending a wedding at Brig O'Doon which we had thought was located closer (i.e. within walking distance) but was not a problem as we were dropped off at the venue. Our breakfast the following morning was excellent, cooked fresh as we wished and very leisurely. We did not feel under pressure at all. Fantastic and would highly recommend to friends and family.

16th October 2014:

We had a fantastic stay at Ayrs and Graces. Rhona was so welcoming to her home, we were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We were attending a wedding at Brig O' Doon so the location was ideal for us (about 1 mile along the road). Rhona offered to drive us along to the wedding in 2 trips, we took her up for one trip (we were a party of 6 with one person driving to the wedding). It is an unlit back road so you can't walk along at night, however coming back we got a taxi which was only £2.90. Rhona goes out of her way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Even although it was a bit pricier than other b&b's, it was well worth the extra. The only criticism I had was that our party had 3 rooms (one per couple). One room was spacious with large full bathroom and separate sitting room. This room was slightly more expensive than the other 2. The other 2 were priced the same, but I felt they should have been priced separately too as one was very large with a full bathroom and proper double bed. The other was sold as a double but was a twin with 2 beds pushed together and had only a very small en suite without a bath. We were in the smallest of the rooms, but paid the same price as our other friends in the larger double with full large bathroom. I was happy to pay the price we paid but think there should be another price for the larger double as there is a substantial difference in the sizes of the bedroom and ensuite as well as wardrobe storage. Would definitely return to this B&B if returning to Ayr. Ideal for couples retreat or as a family, though families would benefit from booking the 2 downstairs rooms, one having the seating area.

Tips:

Request the larger of the double rooms if both are available (upstairs) as you pay the same price.

Simply the best B&B we have ever stayed in ! From start to finish we felt like Royalty. The house is beautiful ,the decor of all rooms was amazing ,and the terrace with its wonderful capped it all. We would hesitantly make one suggestion ,which is to provide more information on the location of the house. Hesitantly is because we would rather it is kept a secret for us to enjoy again! And Jan was a perfect cook and hostess, providing the best ever breakfast
