Beautiful house and the bedroom was fantastic. Very large comfortable bed. Super big shower in the en suite. Moira is very friendly and a great host. Breakfast lovely and you can have as much or as little as you want. She even made fresh pancakes for us. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back if we are down that way again.

Tips:

Moira can recommend, and even book a table in a restaurant for you. We went to the Stair Inn where the food was outstanding and we were made to feel very welcome.

We had a lovely stay with Moira. The B & B was easy to find, communication with Moria before we arrived was great and she was very quick to respond to queries and with suggestions of places to eat on the way. The B & B was warm and homely and the beds very comfortable. Our toilet was just outside our room and the shower was down the hallway but this was fine for us. Lovely breakfast in the morning. It's just a shame we were just passing through and didn't have more time to explore the surrounding area.

One of the highlights of our time in Scotland--a beautiful farm and wonderful host and hostess. Our room was large, very clean, and had a great view of the surrounding farm land. Moira, our hostess, provided us with a full breakfast each morning (we stayed two nights), before taking time out of her busy day to show us the dairy operation--a modern thing of beauty. Our thanks to Moira for the time she spent with us and for providing us a chance to see a fantastic dairy operation. And let me also say that most dairy farms have a certain "aroma" about them--but NONE of that here--and exceptionally clean.

From the second we arrived you made us feel so welcome! We had a fantastic two nights stay, and it was in the perfect location for my work and walking for my partner. The breakfasts were AMAZING and filled us for the rest of the day! The bedroom was very spacious, with a lovely bathroom, and the comfiest bed! Thank you so much for making our stay so great! We can't wait to start planning our next trip up to Scotland (and we will stay at your b&b of course!)!

Tips:

We had the most amazing meal at the Hollybush Inn - the food was amazing and really good value for the quality (we had 2 generous main meals and 2 fantastic puddings, with a couple of soft drinks each and a beer for under £50!) Dumfries House was only a 5 minute drive away, and we visited Ayr on our way back which only took us 15 minutes to get to! Great location to venture out to a lot of different activities!

Fantastic, despite good reviews our stay still exceeded expectations. Lovely room, warm welcome, tea and home baking on arrival plus an invite to watch the electronic milking of the cows Fantastic breakfast, lovely porridge, full cooked which included haggis black pudding and scotch pancakes Delicious

Tips:

We stayed in order to attend a Wedding at Dumfries House, had wondered whether a farmhouse would be located up a rough road with basic parking but no 4 wheel vehicles needed .Tarmac entrance from main road and parking in an attractive courtyard with pretty flower tubs. Easy short drive or taxi to Dumfries House.

22nd September 2013:

We stayed just the one night but wish it had been longer. The Watsons were exceptionally friendly even by the high standards of Scottish B&Bs. The breakfast was delicious, the room clean and comfortable. We toured all around Scotland and this was really a notch or two up on everywhere else we stayed.

10th September 2013:

Great friendly service, hope our next stay is not to far in the future. Your welcome to our very late arrival was truly appreciated, as was the tea and cake, a very big thank you. Breakfast, what can I say that would measure up to the quality and service, only thank you again and wonderful and tasty.

Tips:

We used Laigh Tarbeg as a stop on the way to the Highlands, so just passing through, close to Ayr.

9th September 2013:

Laigh Tarbeg was lovely. It's situated in the country side and has stunning views. The welcome was warm and inviting. Tea, coffee and cake was presented for us in the dinning room on our arrival and our room was lovely. Spotlessly clean with lovely bedding and towels. Hairdryer in dressing table and tea and coffee making facilities were at our disposal. The breakfast was excellent and the choices were equally as good. Loved the wander around the dairy farm too.

Tips:

The hostess gave us various options for restaurants and there were loads of information displayed on a table on places to see and go. We will definately consider going back!!!

Very friendly and delightful family. Moira is a very bubbly and extremely helpful landlady, there is nothing that is too much trouble, and believe me, one bite of her home made banana bread and the wonderful breakfast you are well and truly hooked!!

Tips:

Dumfries House and Culzean castle are absolute musts to visit. Splendid grounds, views and gardens, and the interiors are very captivating. We found a nice restaurant called The Hollybush in a village of the same name with a very varied menu to suit all tastes, and even three vegan dishes, which you do not see in many places.

4th August 2012:

We had a warm welcome at the B&B by our host Moira and were given tea/coffee and home baking on our arrival. Our room was lovely and had Ensuite, TV and coffee/Tea facilities and free WiFi. We only stayed overnight but the bed was lovely and comfy and had a good nights sleep. Our breakfast was delicious. There was plenty of space to park the car. As this is a working dairy farm we enjoyed a tour round the robot milking system. Would certainly recommend .

Tips:

Stair Inn very good for evening meal.
