Spotlessly clean and with the kindest lovliest proprietors.. Simply a must simply the best in a Bed and Breakfast category

Tips:

City breaks, Coastal, beach and hill walking all easily available.. Golf for those wanting to swap tea for tee.. Very much enjoyed.. Local town amenities on your doorstep.. Colin and Sharon Bridge

We received a very warm welcome on arrival from Mrs Anderson. After breakfast we enjoyed a friendly chat with her and she was very easy to talk to without being at all intrusive.

Tips:

Girvan seafront and beach very clean and ideal for an evening walk.Culzean castle and estate worth a visit. We enjoyed a meal at Austins Restaurant in Girvan. Enroute home we attempted to visit Corsewall Lighthouse(and hotel) near Stranraer.About 3miles of the road leading to the lighthouse was single track and the final mile or so had so many potholes we abandoned our attempt for fear of damaging the car.We were disappointed as both the lighthouse and its setting look stunning.

Lovely room apart from the floor creaking but given the age of the property was understandable. Breakfast for for a queen. I would book again if I was in the area.

Unfortunately there is not a lot to do in Girvan. A lot of shops closed in the main street. Perfect for a stroll along the sands.

What Lovely People Morag and Nigel are they are working very hard mostly behind the scenes but you can not keep a well oiled machine running perfectly unless you pay attention to detail and Morag and Nigel have it in abundance. The Property is immaculate throughout and their customer care and friendliness is second to none. We had a few natters with them and they are so well laid back it is contagious and very welcoming and relaxing. Thanks Morag and Nigel for looking after us and making our stay Very memorable Joe and Dee Shannon

Tips:

best tip for Girvan is firstly stay at the Thistleneuk Band B Louisa drive Girvan. secondly for food after the breakfast at Thethistleneuk B and B make sure you visit Yasmin's Restaraunt on Dalrymple street and meet Ali the owner top top Gentleman and Host, food is lovely. Secondly, The China Moon is a lovely little restaurant on Montgomerie st well worth a try.Without a doubt we would in our opinion say that Eddies takeaway is well beautiful food you order fish and chips and you get two large fish and 1 large portion of chips , absolutely superb food. Thers is an asda on the A77 and the whole town is so friendly and welcoming. Estate agents are so helpful and people are so friendly and there is a ver nice Little tourist attraction known as the Mckechnie Institute and it is so relaxing. Their is a state of the art new swimming complex and gym. a child play area and very friendly staff. This town is a lovely little place to holiday and from our point of view to live. We are hoping to Move to Girvan very very soon Regards Joe And Dee

Extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I had a small attic room with superb view of Alisa Craig and stunning sunsets. Best poached eggs I've had and the entire breakfast set me up for the day. Good variety catering for vegetarians and allergies. Unusually, a real fresh fruit salad - not a tin in sight!

Tips:

Local restaurants are mediocre unless you go to nearby Maidens etc. However, Fish and Chip shop just around the corner from the Thistleneuk is really top notch - excellent fish and good chips. Sorry, don't recall the name but it's just a couple of minutes away very close to the Harbour although not on it - usually a queue!

Morag and Nigel were very welcoming and helpful. The welcome pack was detailed but the proprietors took time to explain relevant issues in detail as well. Food excellent and varied, including alternatives for those with intolerances - fabulous views of Firth of Clyde, including Ailsa Craig, at breakfast. Rooms clean and comfortable.

Tips:

Great for any west coast stay, especially if you like golf, sea views and seabirds. We stayed for the open at Troon and it was a good base for this. There are plenty of shops. The only downside is that the local restaurants and pubs stop serving food around 20:00-20:30, so you would need to be back from excursions early if you wanted to eat in Girvan.

Lovely location on seafront. Excellent hosts who provided great clean large room with probably the largest most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Breakfast was really well cooked and good quality produce. Great selection of fresh fruit and cereals with usual tea/coffee and juice on offer. Took time to talk to us after and went out of their way to help resolve a future booking which may clash with open golf dates. All in a b&b which I can only highly recommend.

Tips:

Simple walks along seafront and great historical local interest, all of which can be checked out in the b&b local brochures held in dining/sitting room.
